Garden Landscaping Project 159
The premise of this project was to create a very low maintenance garden with a large, clean, modern, grey upper seating area running across the full width of the space, a storage area down one side of the bouse, and a pathway down the other side (replacing the standard builder’s flags that were there before). This paved seating and entertaining space had a central opening onto the lower artificial lawn area, either side of which we created raised trough planters which could be planted out to soften the garden and act as a visual divide between the two main zones within the garden. The lower artificial lawn area had a surrounding sleeper skirting to neaten the base of the existing fencing. This also enabled the installation of recessed lights to illuminate this beautiful green space in the evening, ensuring that the garden could continue to be enjoyed from the house, even once darkness had set in.
