This older garden had become overgrown and unloved. It needed a large clearance initially, before it could be levelled and a new lawn area created. We retained feature magnolia tree in the middle as an attractive centrepiece, with a large sunken seating area in bottom right hand corner, which was the space that benefitted from the most sunlight. The seating area was at a lower height to add interest and increase privacy.
